Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia and her Barstool Sports colleagues are speaking freely about her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan — especially since he apparently blocked them all on Instagram.
The “BFFs” podcast — which LaPaglia, 25, cohosts with her boss, Dave Portnoy, and TikTok star Josh Richards — teased a song titled “Smallest Man” set to be released on Wednesday, November 6. It’s hard to confirm without the lyrics, but the song is speculated to be a diss track about Bryan, 28.
“Yall aren’t even brave enough to tag him in the picture,” one Instagram commenter wrote. LaPaglia was quick to respond, writing, ‘We r all blocked.”
It’s not a complete shock that Bryan has blocked his ex-girlfriend and her coworkers on social media (something he has done before) following the brutal beating he’s been taking online for deciding to go public with their split late last month.
Brianna Chickenfry Takes Break From 'BFFs' Podcast Amid Zach Bryan Split
Bryan announced on October 22 that he and LaPaglia had split after more than one year together. The “PlanBri Uncut” podcast host claimed she was “blindsided” by the announcement after the pair allegedly agreed to keep the breakup under wraps for the time being.
“How can you, like, give every ounce of yourself to someone and then, like, be discarded of in a few days,” LaPaglia shared in a YouTube video. “It’s really, really heartbreaking and I don’t want to talk about details right now.”
She has since taken a break from both podcasts she hosts but has continued to post on social media.
“I’m literally so fine besties,” she captioned an October 26 Instagram Story post, sharing a life update. “F— men and k!ll em all lmao.”
Portnoy, 47, has been vocal in defense of LaPaglia after she and Bryan ended their relationship. It was rumored that Bryan was seen with a profile on the Raya dating app amid his breakup from LaPaglia. Portnoy called this a “crazy” move by the singer.
Revisiting Dave Portnoy and Brianna Chickenfry's Friendship History
“He was on a dating app before the body was cold!” the Barstool Sports founder said during the October 24 episode of “The Unnamed Show” podcast. Portnoy also shared two situations he experienced with Bryan.
Portnoy called LaPaglia a “revolving door” of relationships during a July 2023 “BFFs” episode. When Bryan discovered this months later, the singer banned Portnoy from his show and started a fight with his then-girlfriend. The second “sensitive” story that Portnoy remembered came when LaPaglia walked the Golden Globes red carpet without Bryan and apparently talked about one of the male celebrities who were present. Bryan apparently unfollowed LaPaglia on Instagram and blocked the “BFFs” account.
“He just seemed like a really immature, not confident baby,” Portnoy said at the time.
