Congo's mining capital is at the center of U.S. bid to counter China in Africa

Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, has some of the worlds largest copper and cobalt reserves and that makes it one of the key locations at the heart of the US and China's jostle for mineral supremacy on the African continent.
