As Sean “Diddy” Combs spent his 55th birthday behind bars, Christian “King” Combs celebrated his father’s big day via social media.
“What’s up, y’all? It’s King Combs. And right now, I’m taking over my pop’s Instagram,” King, 26, told Diddy’s followers in a Wednesday, November 6, Instagram video. “We gonna be posting videos while spreading, you know, good energy and taking y’all down memory lane, of all the positive things he did. So, stay tuned and watch this. Let’s go! We love you, pops. Happy Birthday.”
In his first follow-up post, King shared the music video for Diddy’s song “It’s All About the Benjamins (Remix)” featuring The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim and The LOX. “My Pops motivation to making music is always to make us dance and feel good,” King captioned the Instagram video. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPS!!! .”
He went on to share the music video for Diddy’s 1997 collab with The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes, “Victory,” writing, “P. DIDDY & THE FAM WHO YOU KNOW DO IT BETTER?”
Diddy’s Kids Release New Statement Amid Music Mogul’s Ongoing Legal Battle
For his third post on Diddy’s Instagram, King uploaded behind-the-scenes clips of his dad in the studio recording The Notorious B.I.G’s 1994 track “Warning.” (Diddy served as a co-executive producer on the song with DJ Mister Cee, per Genius.)
“1994 HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPS! #BIG,” King wrote alongside the videos.
King is the eldest of Diddy and his late ex Kim Porter’s biological children. The pair, who dated on and off from 1994 to 2007, also share twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie, 17. (Diddy is also the adoptive father of Porter and Al B. Sure!’s son, Quincy, 33.)
Diddy also shares his son Justin, 30, with Misa Hylton, daughter Chance, 18, with Sarah Chapman and daughter Love, 22 months, with Dana Tran.
Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering on September 16 and has remained behind bars since. His legal troubles began in November 2023 when his ex-girlfriend Carrie accused him of sexual assault and rape in a bombshell lawsuit. He denied her claims and the case was settled out of court one day after it was filed.
Diddy’s Ups and Downs Over the Years: Indictment, Home Raid and More
In the wake of the case, several individuals came forward with sexual assault lawsuits of their own against the rapper, eventually leading Homeland Security to raid Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles in connection to a sex trafficking investigation. King and Justice were reportedly detained during the L.A. raids and were released without charges.
Diddy’s 14-page indictment was unsealed one day after his September 16 arrest in New York City. The docs accuse the music mogul of hosting parties known as “Freak Offs,” where Diddy allegedly coerced female victims to participate in “elaborate and produced sex performances” with male sex workers, which he is said to have recorded. Diddy allegedly “distributed a variety of controlled substances to victims” as a control tactic.
The indictment also claims Homeland Security detained several “’Freak Off’ supplies” during their home raids, seizing items such as narcotics, baby oil, lube and multiple firearms.
Diddy and his lawyers have vehemently denied the multiple accusations against him and the rapper pleaded not guilty to his sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He has been denied bail and has been ordered to remain in prison until his trial begins in May 2025.

“I love you all, I love you all so much,” Diddy can be heard telling his kids over speakerphone. “I can’t wait to see y’all. I can’t wait to see y’all. I just want to say I’m proud of y’all, especially the girls — I mean, all of y’all. For being strong. And thank you all for being by my side.”
