Skai Jackson is pregnant with her first baby.
Jackson confirmed on Tuesday, November 12 that she’s expecting. “I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects,” Jackson said in a statement to People. “My heart is so full!”
Jackson has not confirmed the father’s identity.
Earlier this year, the Jessie alum told police officers that she is pregnant. Jackson was arrested for alleged domestic battery after having a fight with her boyfriend at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, Us Weekly confirmed in August. She was released from police custody several hours later on $20,000 bail. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office later declined to file charges.

Jackson and her unnamed boyfriend denied getting into a physical altercation.
“Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding,” a rep for the actress told Us in September after charges were dropped. “We appreciate that the DA determined very quickly that there should be no charges of any kind and Skai looks forward to putting this behind her.”
The actress first found success as a child on Disney Channel, becoming a fan favorite on Jessie as Zuri Ross from 2011 to 2015. After 98 episodes of the sitcom, Jackson reprised the role for 58 episodes of Bunk’d, finally retiring the character in 2018.
Since leaving the network, she has gone on to compete on Dancing With the Stars season 29 (where she finished fifth with Alan Bersten) and take on more adult acting roles in music videos and shorts for Lil Nas X and Keke Palmer, respectively, as well as films like the action flick Sheroes.

Next up is a horror film called The Man in the White Van, which will hit theaters December 13. The flick, set in 1974, costars Madison Wolfe, Brec Bassinger and Brooke Hyland.
“Growing up, I was never a Disney girl who watched Disney movies,” Jackson told Collider while promoting the thriller in July. “I used to watch Chucky and Freddy Krueger, so I love any type of horror film. When this audition came across, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I just have to!’ This was really fun to work on, and getting to have this experience and tell the story. I’m definitely proud of the film.”
