Former Duke basketball star Kyle Singler has raised massive concern for his well-being after posting a series of cryptic videos via Instagram.
In three separate videos, Singler, 36, can be seen shirtless walking around his barren home and speaking directly to his phone’s camera.
“I need to make an announcement,” said Singler, who was a star for the Duke Blue Devils between 2007 and 2011. “Because I feel like my voice is getting silenced. Every day, s— is being thrown my way.”
Singler continued, “I have been mistreated, abused, neglected. Made into a mental example. I fear for my life every day.”

In the first video, posted on Tuesday, November 12, Singler called out members of his “community” for failing him.
“They make things difficult for people when I’m only trying to be helpful,” he said. “I feel like I have a certain way about myself and strength and purpose that does not get valued or treated properly.”
In a second video posted just hours later, Singler said he has been living in his current home for five years, calling it “a hole.”
Singler, who played six seasons in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder from 2012 to 2018, said people around him have been attempting to interfere with his desire to “create a business” and “begin a new life.”
“Everybody has played me into a fool,” Singler said. “Creating chaos, creating narratives to have it be profitable for people.”
In a third video posted in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 13, Singler said he was sending “prayer and gratitude” to those watching and issued an “acknowledgment to the real ones.”
“Feel the light. Know the light,” Singler said. “And know the dark.”
In the comments section of Singler’s videos, members of the basketball community have expressed their concern.
NBA star Kevin Love wrote, “I love you Kyle. Hit me whenever. Please.”
