The show, which premiered in September 2024, debuted with a 10 episode order, tracking the unlikely romance between sex podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and “hot” rabbi Noah (Adam Brody). It received overwhelmingly positive reviews upon its release, and has remained in Netflix’s global top 10 since.
“Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me,” show creator Erin Foster told Netflix in a story published October 10. “The incredible cast, crew, producers, and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed.”
Season 1 ended with Noah appearing to give up his opportunity to be head rabbi at his synagogue in order to be with Joanne, who said she was not ready to convert to Judaism.

“I think we’ll pick up mostly more or less where we left off,” Foster told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published October 14. “Not the same night, but the same moment of, ‘So, what now? How do we do this?’”
