Even stars Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval don’t have details about Vanderpump Rules season 12.
“I don’t know what the future holds. I’m optimistic. I’d love to film again,” Schwartz, 42, exclusively told Us Weekly at the 9th Annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala on Friday, November 15. “This is my family.”
He added, “I’ve been through everything so much in the past 14 years. I kind of grew up on camera, even though we started when I was in my late 20s. In a way, I sort of grew up and I love everybody. I see almost everybody, not everybody, but I’ve seen pretty much everybody on a fairly regular basis. I’m in touch with the whole crew, and I’m looking forward to filming.”
Vanderpump Rules, a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, premiered in 2013 following former RHOBH star Lisa Vanderpump and the employees at her SUR restaurant. Schwartz and Sandoval, 42, were initially both bartenders alongside Sandoval’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix. The show also features Katie Maloney, who was previously married to Schwartz, as well as Scheana Shay, Lala Kent and James Kennedy.
Future of ‘VPR' Future Remains Uncertain: 'Discussions Are Still Ongoing'
Season 11 of the Bravo hit aired this summer, but production still has not picked back up for more episodes. A source told Us last month that “discussions are still ongoing” about the show’s future.
Sandoval, who is BFFs with Schwartz and co-owns two L.A. eateries, also opened up to Us at Vanderpump’s event, which was held at The Maybourne Beverly Hills.
“I’m excited to see what the future holds in that aspect,” Sandoval, who brought girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson to the celebration, teased to Us. “I think when we come back, it’s going to be different. And, you know, what I’ve learned to do is just accept the future with open arms and see what happens. It’s all we can do.”
Sandoval also hinted that he was on his “best behavior” because of said future.
Tom Sandoval Is 'Glad' to Be Done With 'Pump Rules' Season 11 Filming
“I just feel like there’s a lot of things coming up and with the future a little uncertain, I just want to wait and see what happens,” he coyly quipped.
While Bravo has yet to comment on whether Vanderpump Rules will return for season 12, both Schwartz — wearing a dapper State & Liberty suit — and Sandoval were excited to join former costars Kristen Doute and Peter Madrigal in celebrating LVP’s nonprofit.
“I’ve been through so much with Lisa, and she’s done so much for me, for [Victoria and I as a couple] and I really look up to her in so many ways,” Sandoval gushed. “I love what she stands for and the things that she does. So, of course, I’m going to be here.”
