Taylor Lautner is still rooting for his and Kristen Stewart’s characters in Twilight to be endgame.
In a Saturday, November 16, TikTok, Lautner, 32, did his own spin on a viral trend by showing the TV screen playing Twilight before flipping the camera back to himself.
“Honestly screw Edward,” Lautner wrote over the video. “Bella should have ended up with Jacob.”
The camera then showed Lautner, making it obvious he was the one who wrote the text. “Oh no no no,” he wrote while pretending to turn off his phone. “Oops,” he captioned the post.

The series, based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer, kicked off with 2008’s Twilight. The films went on to span five years with The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011) and Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012).
Fans of the films were supporters of either werewolf Jacob (Lautner) or Robert Pattinson’s vampire Edward Cullen, both of whom were vying for the affections of Stewart’s Bella. Ultimately, Bella and Edward ended up together — while Jacob found The One in the pair’s daughter, Renesmee.
While reflecting back on their on-screen love triangle, Lautner candidly shared in 2023 that the dynamic was challenging off-screen, too.
“I think it was tough. I don’t know for [Pattinson] but for me at least, … especially at the age I was at,” Lautner said on an episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “You get your feelings hurt sometimes when you shouldn’t but it’s hard not to sometimes.”
Taylor Lautner: 'Twilight' Rivalry Impacted Robert Pattinson Friendship
While the twosome did not have a problem with each other, Lautner shared there were uncomfortable moments when it came to their fans.
“It was awkward at times for the two of us standing together on a balcony and a thousand girls booing Rob but cheering for me,” Lautner said. “And then this [other] half booing me and cheering for [him] but us having to have some sort of friendship was difficult.”
Lautner added that he and Pattinson, 38, are “very, very different people,” saying, “We never really connected on a deep level just because we’re different humans, but he was always fantastic and the sweetest person ever.”
Despite the moments of awkwardness, Lautner gushed that he had “great feelings” about his time with the franchise.
But his wife, Taylor Dome, ultimately was Team Edward. In a video posted to Dome’s Instagram in 2022, the text over the clip read, “Show your childhood crush and then the person you ended up with.” The clip cut to a picture of Pattinson as Edward, before showing Lautner. She wrote, “I think it’s time to come clean…”
